This established Australian fashion brand has built a strong national presence and loyal customer following through its distinctive, feminine product offering and ability to consistently deliver newness to market.
Operating across an extensive retail network and highly successful digital channel, the business continues to evolve and grow. With product at the heart of the brand, we are now searching for an experienced Senior Production Manager to join its Sydney-based Head Office and play a key role within the product function.
The Role |
Working closely with senior product leadership, the Senior Production Manager will lead the end-to-end production function, ensuring collections are delivered on time, at the right quality and cost, while driving efficiencies across suppliers, processes and ways of working.
This is a highly commercial and operational role requiring strong technical production knowledge, exceptional supplier management and the ability to confidently manage a fast-paced and high-volume production environment.
You will:
Lead seasonal production calendars and critical paths from development handover through to final delivery
Manage production across multiple categories, suppliers and offshore manufacturing partners
Develop strong, strategic relationships with the brand’s supplier and factory network
Negotiate costs, lead times, MOQs and production terms to achieve margin and delivery objectives
Partner with suppliers to manage capacity, production planning and delivery performance
Oversee pre-production processes, including approvals, BOM accuracy and production readiness
Work closely with Design, Buying, Product Development and Technical teams to protect product integrity and quality
Drive quality standards and ensure issues are identified and resolved before impacting delivery
Monitor supplier performance across quality, cost, lead time and reliability
Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers, improve processes and create greater production efficiencies
Provide leadership, support and direction to the wider production team
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Logistics and Finance to ensure seamless execution from order placement through to delivery
The Skillset |
You will be an accomplished fashion production leader with the technical knowledge, commercial capability and leadership skills to operate confidently within an established, fast-moving fashion business.
Ideally, you will bring:
8+ years’ experience across fashion production, with demonstrated experience at Production Manager or Senior Production Manager level
Strong experience within high-volume womenswear or a fast-paced fashion environment
Extensive offshore production and supplier management experience
Proven capability negotiating costs, lead times, MOQs and commercial production terms
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication, sampling and quality control
Excellent critical path and Time & Action management capability
Strong commercial understanding of margin, costings and production efficiencies
Experience leading, mentoring and developing production team members
Strong ERP and/or PLM systems capability alongside advanced Excel skills
Exceptional organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a high-volume environment
