13. Making Luxury Fashion Sustainable with Eloise Panetta

Welcome back to the Beyond the Shop Floor podcast.

We are BACK baby! All our aspiring entrepreneurs and fashion designers – TUNE IN!

This week we were delighted to host the dream guest - Eloise Panetta. Eloise had THE dream job – but it wasn’t HER dream. We talk to her about making the leap into entrepreneurship building a brand that honoured her values in ethical production & sustainability. Today she has built a business selling hand-dyed botanical silk products and made to order RTW, from her dream showroom & retail store in Sydney CBD (opened during a pandemic no less!) that is thriving! We ask her all about the challenges of running her own business and how it came to be!

The oldest of 5, Eloise was taught by her Nona growing up, and always knew she would be a Fashion Designer. She tells about her journey from Design school through internships and how she secured her first job in fashion. What led to her leaving that dream job and returning to study. Hear about how she has built her dream business – and is uncompromising on her commitment to ethical and sustainable fashion – every garment is made to order in house (in fact you can see through to her workroom to see Eloise herself on her sewing machine.

Eloise is gracious, positive & inspiring – a businesswoman you need to be watching! Check her out on the socials at https://www.instagram.com/eloisepanetta/ or for a little perusing check out https://eloisepanetta.com/
