As the business brings its philosophy into a physical space for the first time, we are seeking a passionate and driven Store Manager to lead this flagship experience and help shape what its retail presence becomes.
The Role |
Reporting to the Retail Director, you will be the leader of the first physical store, responsible for bringing the brand to life through exceptional customer experience, strong operational foundations and inspiring team leadership.
This is a rare opportunity to build a retail playbook from the ground up. You will define the rituals, standards and rhythms of the store while leading and developing a small team. Balancing hands-on leadership with strategic thinking, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how the brand translates into physical retail.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and inspire the store team to deliver knowledgeable, relaxed and premium customer experiences.
Recruit, coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability and growth.
Define and document store standards across service, visual merchandising, stock management and operations.
Drive sales performance while maintaining a customer-first approach.
Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, rostering and compliance.
Partner with internal teams to translate brand philosophy into in-store rituals and storytelling.
Analyse sales trends and customer behaviours to refine layout, product placement and service approaches.
Manage inventory processes and ensure strong stock control and replenishment practices.
Handle escalations calmly and confidently, maintaining a positive store environment.
Share insights and learnings with leadership to continually refine and evolve the retail model.
This is a full-time position based in Melbourne CBD, requiring availability across weekends and some evenings.
The Skillset |
5+ years' experience in retail, including leadership or supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop team members.
Experience driving sales and achieving targets without compromising customer experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confidence documenting processes, standards and ways of working.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify customer patterns and sales opportunities.
Calm, solutions-focused mindset in fast-paced retail environments.
Comfortable working with POS systems and basic troubleshooting.
Genuine enthusiasm for well-designed, purpose-led products and brands.
Curiosity about customer behaviour and what drives purchasing decisions.
