As the business continues to grow both locally and internationally, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Garment Technician to join their collaborative Product team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in bringing beautifully crafted collections to life, ensuring every garment meets the highest standards of fit, construction and quality.
The Role |
Working closely with Design, Product Development and Production, you'll take ownership of the technical development process from sample fittings through to production approval.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role where your technical expertise will directly influence the quality, consistency and fit of every collection. You'll lead fittings, communicate confidently with offshore manufacturers, maintain technical documentation and ensure products are executed exactly as intended.
Lead fit sessions across development and pre-production samples, ensuring garments align with the original design vision.
Evaluate and measure samples against specifications, identifying fit, construction and quality improvements.
Prepare and maintain detailed technical packs, specifications and technical CADs using Adobe Illustrator.
Communicate clear technical comments and fit corrections to offshore suppliers throughout the development process.
Conduct pre-production approvals, size set reviews and grading to ensure consistency across all sizes.
Review trims, hardware and construction methods, ensuring all components meet quality expectations.
Manage sample approvals and maintain accurate product information throughout the critical path.
Partner with Design and Product Development to continually refine garment fit, finishing techniques and construction quality.
Analyse customer returns and fit feedback to identify opportunities for continuous product improvement.
Champion quality standards across every stage of product development, ensuring collections are delivered on time and to the highest level.
The Skillset |
You are a technically exceptional Garment Technician who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship. Comfortable working across multiple collections simultaneously, you enjoy collaborating with designers and suppliers to deliver beautifully executed product.
You'll bring:
Proven experience as a Garment Technician within premium, designer or luxury fashion.
Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading and pattern interpretation.
Experience leading fit sessions and confidently communicating technical feedback to offshore factories.
Strong understanding of luxury fabrication, trims and garment finishing techniques.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and technical specification management.
Outstanding attention to detail, organisation and time management.
A collaborative approach with the confidence to influence product quality across cross-functional teams.
