The Senior Buyer plays a critical role in shaping the product strategy and commercial success of the brand, ensuring each range balances creative vision with strong financial performance while supporting the broader growth ambitions of the business.
 
The Role |
 
Reporting into the senior merchandise leadership team, the Senior Buyer will take ownership of key product categories and lead the end-to-end buying strategy. This is a highly commercial and strategic role suited to an experienced buyer who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys partnering closely with Design, Planning, and Production.

You will play a pivotal role in driving category performance, building commercially successful assortments, and mentoring junior team members while ensuring alignment with the brand's long-term product and growth strategy.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Own the buying strategy and end-to-end range development across key product categories.

  • Lead seasonal range planning, ensuring assortments align with brand direction, customer demand, and commercial objectives.

  • Develop category strategies and buying plans informed by sales data, customer insights, and global market trends.

  • Partner closely with Design to shape commercially viable collections while maintaining the integrity of the brand aesthetic.

  • Manage supplier relationships across offshore and local vendors, negotiating cost prices, MOQs, and delivery timelines to optimise margin and supply chain efficiency.

  • Drive in-season trading performance, analysing sales, managing rebuys, and executing markdown strategies where required.

  • Collaborate with Planning to manage OTB, stock flow, and inventory levels, ensuring strong forecast accuracy and stock productivity.

  • Analyse sell-through, margin, and category performance to inform future buying strategies and identify growth opportunities.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior buying team members, supporting development and maintaining best practice processes.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of global fashion trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to keep the brand relevant and commercially competitive.

 
The Skillset |

  • Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or established Buyer with lingerie experience essential.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance trend, brand vision, and financial performance.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing category strategies and commercially successful ranges.

  • Extensive experience working with global suppliers and negotiating costings and margins.

  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable buying decisions.

  • Confident stakeholder manager with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities; experience with PLM or ERP systems highly regarded.

  • A natural leader who enjoys mentoring and developing junior team members.
