Now Hiring | Iconic Australian Retail Brand | Melbourne

The Brand |

With a rich heritage dating back to 1927, this iconic Australian retail brand has built a strong reputation for delivering quality, style, and exceptional customer experiences.

Known for its commitment to innovation, customer service and operational excellence, the business has become a trusted destination for customers seeking both everyday essentials and travel-inspired lifestyle products.

With a growing national footprint and a strong omnichannel presence, the brand continues to evolve while remaining focused on its core values — putting people first, delivering results, and creating meaningful experiences for customers.
As the business continues to grow, the Store Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing the brand to life in-store, leading teams, driving commercial performance, and creating an environment where both customers and team members thrive.

The Role |

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations, commercial performance, and culture of the store.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a strong retail manager who thrives on the shop floor, enjoys coaching teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive sales results, and ensure the store consistently executes operational and visual standards while creating an engaging and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities |

  • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing store team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and strong customer focus.

  • Drive store sales performance through strong floor leadership, coaching the team to achieve KPIs including conversion, average transaction value, and units per transaction.

  • Champion a customer-first mindset, leading by example to deliver exceptional service and create memorable in-store experiences.

  • Recruit, train, and develop team members while identifying future leaders and strengthening the store's talent pipeline.

  • Oversee daily store operations including visual merchandising, stock management, store presentation, and cash handling.

  • Monitor store performance and trading results, taking proactive action to address opportunities and performance gaps.

  • Manage stock levels, inventory control, and loss prevention processes to protect profitability.

  • Ensure the store operates in line with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Implement company initiatives, promotions, and operational changes while ensuring the team understands expectations and executes consistently.

The Skillset |

  • Proven experience in retail management or store leadership, ideally within a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales performance and achieve store KPIs.

  • A natural leader who enjoys coaching, developing, and motivating teams to deliver results.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating a customer-first culture.

  • Strong organisational and operational management skills including stock control, merchandising, and store standards.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.

  • Highly accountable, results-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic retail environment.

  • Resilient, adaptable, and capable of leading teams through change while maintaining a positive team culture.

The Offer I

  • Opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing retail team in a values-driven environment.

  • Strong focus on leadership development, coaching and career progression.

  • Inclusive, supportive workplace culture that prioritises team engagement and wellbeing.

  • Paid parental leave.

  • Exposure to a nationally recognised retail business with a long-standing market presence.

  • Hands-on leadership role with autonomy to drive store performance and results.

  • Collaborative leadership environment with strong regional and cross-functional support.

  • Ongoing learning and development through mentoring, feedback and formal performance conversations.
