An established Australian premium fashion and lifestyle brand with a strong global presence is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join its product team.
Operating across retail, eCommerce, wholesale and international distribution, the business is entering an exciting period of evolution and growth. With a highly regarded product offering and an established international customer base, the brand brings together creativity, craftsmanship and quality with an increasingly sophisticated global operation.
The Role I
This is a hands-on production role with a particular focus on the brand’s fabric product category, spanning cut-and-sew accessories and apparel. You’ll play an important role in managing and ordering raw materials, production orders, quality processes and factory coordination to ensure product is delivered to the required quality, cost and timeline.
Working closely with internal product teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners, you will be responsible for coordinating production from raw material ordering through to final delivery. Reporting to the Head of Production and Production Manager you will:
Managing raw material requirements and fabric orders across the category
Raising, tracking and managing production and purchase orders
Coordinating fabric and product testing requirements, ensuring relevant quality and compliance standards are met
Booking and managing QC inspections throughout the production process
Working closely with factories and suppliers to monitor production timelines and resolve issues
Reviewing and managing factory packing lists ahead of shipment
Tracking deliveries to ensure finished product arrives into the warehouse accurately and on time
Supporting production costings and margin analysis
Reviewing historical costs and identifying changes or inconsistencies
Maintaining accurate production, supplier and order information
Proactively identifying potential delays, quality concerns or supply issues and working with stakeholders to resolve them
The Skillset |
We are looking for someone who understands the detail behind producing beautiful, high-quality product.
Previous experience in a Production Coordinator, or similar product/production role within high end fashion apparel
Experience with AP21
Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles and raw material management
Experience ordering raw materials
Knowledge of fabric and product testing requirements and quality control processes
Experience raising and managing production orders
Confidence working directly with offshore factories, suppliers and testing/QC partners
An understanding of production costings and the ability to analyse historical costs
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
The ability to manage multiple orders, timelines and priorities simultaneously
A proactive approach to identifying issues and following production through to final delivery
