Founded and designed locally in Melbourne, they have flagship boutiques across the globe and are stocked in all the key players internationally. Due to growth we are seeking a Pattern Maker to join their team.
The Role |
The Pattern Maker will work with the wider design team to develop designs from initial concept through to sample completion, with the highest levels of attention to detail using both manual patternmaking techniques and Lectra to digitise the patterns. Due to the nature of product we are seeking Pattern Makers who have a strong level of experience in high end womenswear or bridal.
Prepare patterns and cut/make instructions
Assist in the development and handover of technical information for techpacks
Conduct fittings and perform pattern alterations
Grade patterns to full size set
Collaborating with the development and production teams to address any issues or concerns
Proactively communicate any machine feedback
Work collaboratively with the design team to create product in line with brand standards
The Skillset |
A skilled and passionate pattern maker with circa 5 years experience in designer womenswear
Bonus points if trained via TAFE in Pattern making
Experience with digital pattern making software – open to Style CAD, Gerber but must be willing to use Lectra
Critical thinking and problem solving skills – and a real team player style of working
Technical knowledge of garment making and construction, including grading, marker making
Must be able to work from Design drawings and able to understand brand aesthetic
Well organised with strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate
