The business is growing, and with momentum across ecommerce and broader operations, the leadership team is seeking a commercially minded Business Operations Manager to bring structure, insight, and executional strength across the business.
This is a pivotal role designed to support growth, profitability, and customer experience, while partnering closely with founders to drive smarter operational decision-making, and for the right person it offers autonomy, variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a tangible difference to performance, structure, and long-term success.
The Role |
The Business Operations Manager will sit at the heart of the business, owning day-to-day operations while also contributing to strategic and financial oversight. This role requires someone equally comfortable in the detail as they are connecting financial performance, ecommerce trading results, and operational execution to ensure the business is running efficiently and sustainably.
This is a hands-on standalone role with real accountability, suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working flexibly, and being deeply invested in the success of the business.
Areas of focus will include -
Business & Financial Operations
Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and alignment with commercial objectives.
Ownership of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and cost control.
Monitor business performance against KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities for improved profitability.
Support financial reporting and analysis to enable informed, data-driven decision-making.
Ecommerce & Trading Performance
Own and manage ecommerce trading performance, including daily, weekly, and monthly sales analysis.
Own and manage marketing, digital, and fulfillment. functions to optimise conversion, customer journey, and revenue growth.
Analyse trading trends, product performance, and customer behaviour to inform commercial strategies.
Support planning around launches, promotions, and peak trading periods.
Customer-Centric Operations
Champion a customer-first mindset across all operational touchpoints.
Ensure systems, processes, and service standards consistently deliver a high-quality customer experience.
Identify opportunities to improve operational flows that impact customer satisfaction, retention, and brand loyalty.
Cross-Functional & Business Support
Act as a central point of the business.
Support founders with ad-hoc projects, problem-solving, and operational initiatives.
The Skillset |
Proven experience in a business operations, operations management, or commercial role, ideally within retail, fashion, ecommerce, or consumer brands.
Strong understanding of business financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Hands-on experience working with ecommerce trading metrics and online sales performance.
Commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable working with numbers and data.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
