Assistant Manager
Highly Regarded National Retailer
Now Hiring in Brisbane
The Brand |
Ready to take your retail leadership career into a bigger, faster and higher-profile environment?
Our client is a well-established national apparel retailer with a strong Australian presence, a loyal customer following and a reputation for quality, comfort and everyday essentials.
We are now looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join a high-volume Brisbane Airport outlet, delivering approximately $5 million in annual turnover and supported by a team of 10+.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Assistant Store Manager wanting greater scale and responsibility, or an experienced Store Manager looking to step into a larger, faster-paced environment with genuine career opportunities ahead.
The Role |
As Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to drive the performance of this high-volume outlet across people, sales, customer experience and operations.
You'll be a visible, hands-on leader who can confidently take charge in the Store Manager's absence. With significant trade and stock volumes, this role requires someone who loves pace, knows how to prioritise and can keep their team motivated while delivering strong commercial results.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the Store Manager to drive sales, budgets and store KPIs
Leading and motivating a team of 10+ within a high-volume environment
Confidently leading the store in the Store Manager's absence
Coaching and developing team members through regular feedback and support
Delivering inclusive, positive and memorable customer experiences
Supporting performance conversations and building team capability
Managing high volumes of stock processing and deliveries
Maintaining visual merchandising and store presentation standards
Supporting smooth and efficient day-to-day store operations
Leading by example and creating a positive, accountable team culture
The Skillset |
We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven retail leader who thrives on pace, people and performance.
This isn't a junior Assistant Store Manager opportunity. You'll need the confidence to step into a high-profile, high-turnover store, make decisions and provide strong leadership from day one.
You will bring:
Previous Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager experience
Experience within a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
Outlet retail experience will be highly regarded
Strong leadership skills and confidence managing a store independently
A proven ability to drive sales, budgets and KPIs
Experience coaching, developing and motivating retail teams
Confidence supporting performance and development conversations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused mindset
The ability to multitask, prioritise and remain calm in a busy environment
The Offer |
This is an opportunity to develop your leadership career within a $5M retail environment, joining a national business that genuinely invests in its people and provides pathways for future progression.
In addition to a competitive salary package, you'll receive:
Sunday to Thursday roster with every Friday and Saturday off
One three-day weekend every four weeks
50% team member discount across a portfolio of leading retail brands
30% Friends & Family discount
Quarterly clothing allowance of up to $1,000 per year
Additional Wellness Day to focus on your wellbeing
Structured learning, development and leadership programs
Referral bonus opportunities
Long-service recognition, awards and gifts
Genuine career development within a large national retail group
Ready for more scale, pace and opportunity?
If you're an experienced retail leader who loves high-volume trade, developing people and driving results, we'd love to hear from you.
