The Brand I

We’re partnering with a well-established retail business to appoint an experienced Area Manager to lead a portfolio across Victoria. This role is ideal for a commercially minded leader who is confident driving performance, elevating the in-store experience, and building strong, capable teams.

What You’ll Be Responsible For I

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

  • Set the benchmark for exceptional, consistent customer experiences across all stores

  • Uphold high standards across service delivery, presentation, and in-store execution, including fitting room experience, team presentation, and overall store environment

  • Ensure a seamless experience across both in-store and omni-channel touchpoints

Commercial Performance

  • Deliver against sales, KPI, and cost targets across the region

  • Drive profitability through strong operational planning, labour management, and expense control

  • Analyse performance trends and implement clear actions to improve results

  • Maintain compliance with business policies, processes, and operational standards

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and their teams to achieve strong performance outcomes

  • Build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, development, and clear expectations

  • Use structured coaching, goal setting, and regular feedback to uplift capability across all levels

  • Identify and develop future leaders within the region

About You I

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior retail leadership role in a fashion retail environment

  • Associate Degree or equivalent or higher

  • A people-first leadership style, with the ability to build inclusive, engaged teams

  • Leads from the front and role models expected behaviours across all areas of the business

  • Strong coaching capability, with a track record of improving team performance

  • Passion for developing high-performing, customer-focused teams

  • Comfortable working on the shop floor and staying close to the customer experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organised, with strong planning and time management capability

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategy and execution

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Responsive and agile, with a sense of urgency in decision making

  • Strong understanding of retail operations, including administrative requirements

  • Maintains oversight of key policies, procedures, and compliance standards

  • Demonstrates curiosity, learning agility, and a commitment to ongoing development
