eCommerce Manager - Direct to Consumer Textile Recycling - Mordialloc

We are searching for a highly creative and data focused senior level eCommerce Manager for MANRAGS. You will work directly with the founders, lead all aspects of digital marketing & eCommerce operations, and hands on opportunities with a business that is undergoing a huge digital transformation whilst making a significant environmental impact.

Who are we? The world’s first digital direct to consumer textile recycling company – MANRAGS is on a mission to reduce textile landfill waste and increase the lifecycle of textiles. MANRAGS is unique in its customer acquisition model and multiple customer offerings that enable multiple revenue streams through market leading advocacy and engagement. Since the launch of our digital recycling initiative our digital community has grown by tens of thousands with people who have become genuinely active and engaged advocates of our purpose.

Key to the success of this role is the creation and execution of a digital strategy that effectively captures our transformation as a brand and speaks to our broad range of audience and converts them to a customer. You will help grow the brand’s influence globally while also increasing brand loyalty, project awareness and product awareness amongst the existing community. You will identify and implement leading digital opportunities across all digital channels and work closely with the CEO to identify strategic eCommerce direction focused on direct to consumer and business partner solutions.

The role will involve strategic direction, balancing multi-channel considerations with commercial acumen. You will be able to leverage off internal and external counterparts but specifically we are looking for someone who can create a dynamic strategy and execute it (not just through delegation) - on the tools experience is vital. You will lead and develop the eCommerce platform and strategy including operation, optimisation, and partner integrations – ensuring best in class online platforms, managing, and driving the business’s online presence to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Additionally your role will include planning, implementing, and monitoring the digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks with a major focus on Facebook, Instagram and Google, you should be comfortable on the tools and have a strong understanding of the back end of CMS, alongside of a digital design skillset though this role will work closely with the Digital Design Manager also.

  • Design and oversee all aspects of the digital marketing department including our marketing database, email, PPC, content and display advertising campaigns.

  • Develop and monitor campaign budgets.

  • Media, Planning, Tracking and Optimising

  • Manage and execute digital branding projects

  • Prepare accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance and consequent actions

  • Collaborate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results.

  • Collaborate with the community engagement manager to drive results

  • Convert audience to customers through engaging and thoughtful campaigns

  • Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting the industry

  • Evaluate important metrics that affect the social media engagement, website traffic and target audience.

  • Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.

  • Collaborate with the community engagement manager regarding all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience and a proven track record in digital/eCommerce – specifically optimal website conversion design and eCommerce management with some experience with digital strategy, direct to consumer marketing, content marketing and social media marketing. We are a scale up with a talented team, who work with a broad scope to achieve business goals. Candidates who have experience working in an entrepreneurial, hands on environment will be highly regarded.

Experience with managing and accelerating a high growth website and prior experience with large digital projects would be highly desirable.

In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a digital marketing position (Digital Project Management/Digital Strategist etc) ideally within a direct to consumer brand or a brand with a strong sustainable focus

  • In depth experience of developing and executing a multi-faceted consumer led digital strategy

  • WordPress or similar CMS and HTML/CSS

  • Knowledge of UE software

  • Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues

  • Experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Google AdWords, and Facebook advertising

  • Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills

  • Excellent Productivity and Prioritisation skills

  • Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities.

  • Maintaining strong technical knowledge including technology integrations, basic strategy principles, broad marketing concepts, analytics and all the keys to enterprise growth.
