Bra Technician - Intimate apparel supplier - Melbourne





We are seeking a highly creative and technical Fit Technician specialising in bras for a leading intimate apparel supplier based in Melbourne. We are seeking a specialist who has in-depth understanding of the fit and construction of intimate apparel particularly underwire and supportive bras.



This role requires a highly motivated, organised individual with superior technical skills and strong experience of working with intimate apparel. You will work alongside the Design and Production team with relation to fits and quality, ensuring the perfect fit of each garment and the highest quality in terms of construction, detailing and workmanship.



You will provide accuracy in the specifications of the garment and related technical specification packs and ensure that relevant critical path deadlines are met. You will have a strong understanding of QA also and be committed to developing strong relationships with factories.

Due to the product specialisation required we are open to the level of candidate and catering the role and remuneration to the seniority of the applicant.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and completion of tech packs, including size specifications, detailing technical construction requirements and grading rules

  • Ensuring technical drawings are correct and contain all relevant information

  • Working closely with the designers to assess the technical construction viability of new designs

  • Managing all fittings and provide detailed fit comments & changes to vendors, amending tech packs and specifications as required

  • Following up with factories for submission and any re-submission for fit approvals in accordance to the critical path

  • Approval of all size sets, bulk fits and constructions, prior to shipment ensuring all product meets company quality standards

To be successful you will have:

  • Strong quality & technical background and sound understanding of garment construction and grading within intimate apparel

  • Strong fitting and problem-solving skills

  • 3-5 years' minimum experience in a technical role

  • High attention to detail & consistency

  • Strong time management and ability to follow processes

  • Sound Computer literacy with Adobe Suite and Office Suite – Illustrator is essential!
