The Talent Mill has a beautiful new partnership with a growing Aus Designer Fashion brand. With a focus on RTW, Lifestyle and Bridal this beloved Aus Designer has an established local and international following. We are now looking for an Assistant Manager to join their existing Armadale store in Melbourne.

In this role, you will have a clear passion and understanding of the customer base, aesthetic and driving a retail business in these key shopping destinations. You will lead a small team, be entrepreneurial in nature, able to work independently and understand how to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a full-time role with some weekend work as a requirement.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service

  • Drive sales to hit daily store targets and KPI’S

  • Build, nurture and maintain a VIP database – driving proactive engagement and communicating when new styles arrive in store

  • Daily management of stock to minimise stock loss and maximise sales

  • Implement brand visual merchandising strategies

  • Maintain and manage all operational responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, motivate, support and succession plan your team in a dynamic and inspirational manner

  • Manage and ensure stock levels are at an optimum level to maximize sales

  • Ensure the presentation and visual standards are met in accordance with brand expectations

  • Manage the roster in line with budgets

The successful talent might have a background similar to this:

  • Luxury customer service background

  • CRM and VIP building experience

  • Stock management experience

  • Multi-channel experience servicing e-boutique orders from store

  • Strong leadership and team-building expertise

  • Strong understanding of store costs, headcount costs and rostering

  • Previous supervisory / management experience in a retail environment

  • Proven experience overseeing the daily operations of a retail store ensuring optimum efficiency, productivity and performance to budgets.
