The Brand |
This Australian Contemporary Designer brand is on the rise globally from showcasing at Paris Fashion Week to the worlds coolest “it” girls with their pieces on high rotation and the most prominent shopping destinations with the brand in stock – you will know and love this brand. This is a significant time of growth with multiple incredible projects underway - we are looking for senior, experienced Technical Designers to join the brand.

The Role |
This role is critical to creating quality garments and a seamless process for the team to work together to achieve a high level of efficiency and contribution to the success of the business.
This role will be responsible for developing product in line with the design vision, core brand values and seasonal deadlines – working closely with the design, buying and production departments and supplier base.

  • Responsible for the fit, construction of all garments at the highest quality standards.

  • Detailed and thorough tech packs for off shore manufacturers and local pattern makers for sampling

  • Measure and control fit of garment approvals [Protos, salesman, pre-production and shipment samples]

  • Manage and organise garment fit sessions. Translate technical fit improvements and alterations to suppliers

  • Provide advice and support on fabrications, wash and garment finishes to both designers.

  • Maintain Critical Path

  • Participate in regular meetings with Design and Production team to discuss progress / issues

  • Developing and evolving company standards of garment construction, alternations, measuring, fitting and pattern blocks.

  • Working with design and production for each seasonal collection ensuring capable and high-quality execution from start to finish.

  • Ensuring all SMS are highest quality prior to sales campaign

  • Working closely with offshore suppliers. E.g. China

The Skillset |

  • Existing technical design experience within a fashion brand

  • Advanced Adobe Suite skillset

  • Strong quality & technical background and sound understanding of garment construction and grading

  • Strong fitting and problem-solving skills

  • 3-5 years' minimum experience in a technical role

  • High attention to detail & consistency

  • Strong time management and ability to follow processes

  • On-site working arrangements
