The Role |
As a Sample Machinist, you will be responsible for sewing toiles, development samples, and final garments, working with a variety of fabrics ranging from silk to intricate embroideries and lace. You will collaborate closely with our Pattern Makers, Design Team, and Sample Cutters to ensure the highest quality in garment construction.
Create technical, detailed garments for initial fitting, buy review, press collections, and salesman samples.
Collaborate with Pattern Makers, Design Team, and Sample Cutter on all aspects of garment make.
Ensure aesthetic and cost-effective outcomes of garment makes.
Identify and communicate any concerns to Pattern Makers and Designers during the proto phase to address issues prior to the SMS stage.
Work as a team to contribute to the creation of beautiful collections seasonally
The Skillset |
5 years' experience in sample machining (essential).
Excellent knowledge in garment construction and luxury designer fashion.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Great attention to detail.
Accurately and efficiently produce sample items.
Collaborate effectively with other machinists and the design team.
Consistently achieve aesthetic and cost-effective outcomes.
