With a dedicated leadership team helping shape the next phase, occasion wear and dresses will return to the heart of the brand, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Developer to play an influential role in bringing this renewed product vision to life.
The Role |
This is a newly created Product Developer position, introduced to strengthen the connection between design, technical and production and allow the creative team to focus more deeply on design.
Sitting closely alongside the Design Director and wider design team you will take ownership of the development process once the creative direction has been established, translating concepts and sketches into commercially viable, beautifully executed product.
You’ll become the critical link between design intent and finished garment, ensuring product maintains the desired aesthetic while balancing fit, construction, quality, cost and commerciality.
Your remit will include:
Owning product development across key womenswear categories, with a particular emphasis on dresses and occasionwear
Partnering closely with Design to translate creative concepts into commercially viable product
Managing product from initial development through sampling, fittings and final approval
Providing solutions around construction, fabrication, trims, finishes and garment execution
Working closely with garment technicians and production teams to ensure a smooth transition from development into bulk production
Reviewing samples and identifying opportunities to improve fit, quality, finish, cost and commercial viability
Collaborating with offshore suppliers and manufacturers throughout the development process
Maintaining development timelines and ensuring key milestones are achieved
Protecting the original design vision while understanding the realities of commercial price architecture
Helping establish clearer product development processes and responsibilities as the business evolves its product structure.
The Skillset |
We’re looking for an experienced Product Developer who understands that great product sits somewhere between creativity, technical knowledge and commercial instinct.
You’ll ideally come from a womenswear environment where dresses, occasionwear and elevated fashion product have formed a meaningful part of your experience.
You will bring:
Proven experience within womenswear product development
Strong experience developing dresses and occasionwear
A sophisticated understanding of garment construction, fabrication, trims and finishing
Confidence working alongside designers and translating creative direction into executable product
Experience managing samples, fittings and development comments
Strong offshore supplier and factory communication skills
An understanding of how to achieve an elevated product aesthetic within an accessible commercial price point
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple styles and development timelines simultaneously
A collaborative approach and the confidence to work across Design, Garment Technology and Production
Strong product instinct, attention to detail and genuine excitement about helping shape a brand through a period of creative evolution
