Following an exciting period of international growth, we are seeking an exceptional Pattern Maker to join the Design & Development team in Sydney. This is a rare opportunity to work at the highest level of luxury fashion, collaborating on collections that push technical boundaries while maintaining the precision and craftsmanship the brand is renowned for.
The Role |
As Pattern Maker, you will be instrumental in bringing the creative vision to life.
Working alongside Design, Product Development and the Workroom, you will transform concepts into impeccably engineered garments, ensuring every pattern reflects the integrity, fit and exceptional quality expected of a globally recognised luxury brand.
This is far more than pattern making - it is an opportunity to influence the technical execution of every collection, balancing creativity with precision while delivering garments that are both beautifully crafted and commercially viable.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing first patterns across seasonal ready-to-wear collections, runway capsules and special projects.
Translating creative concepts into technically precise, production-ready patterns that honour design intent.
Driving exceptional fit, balance and proportion through every stage of development.
Collaborating closely with Design during fittings to refine silhouettes and achieve the highest standard of execution.
Partnering with Product Development, Technical and Production teams to solve complex construction challenges.
Working alongside the Workroom to support prototype, SMS and sample development.
Identifying innovative construction solutions that elevate quality while improving efficiency and manufacturability.
Maintaining meticulous technical documentation and pattern revisions throughout the development process.
Managing priorities across multiple collections while consistently delivering to critical path milestones.
Championing craftsmanship, technical excellence and continuous improvement throughout the product development lifecycle.
The Skillset |
You are an experienced luxury Pattern Maker who genuinely thrives on precision.
You possess an exceptional eye for proportion, a deep understanding of garment engineering and take enormous pride in creating beautifully executed garments. Equally comfortable collaborating with creative teams and solving complex technical challenges, you bring a calm, considered approach and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Ideally you will bring:
6+ years' experience within premium or luxury womenswear.
Extensive experience across tailoring, occasion wear and elevated ready-to-wear.
Exceptional knowledge of garment construction, pattern engineering, grading and luxury fabrication.
Advanced manual and digital pattern making capability.
A highly refined understanding of luxury fit and silhouette.
Outstanding technical problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
The ability to balance creativity with commercial outcomes.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple collections and competing priorities.
A collaborative, humble approach with genuine passion for craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
