The Role |

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Leader to take ownership of the New Zealand market, leading growth across both the North and South Islands.

This is a unique opportunity to shape market strategy, drive commercial performance, and elevate brand presence within a high-growth environment. Combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution, you will be responsible for developing key retail partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, leading a field-based team, and strengthening community engagement initiatives.

As the market lead, you will act as the key connection between regional business objectives and local execution, ensuring the business continues to strengthen its position within the New Zealand market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing the New Zealand commercial growth strategy

  • Driving sales performance and market share across key retail partnerships

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic wholesale accounts

  • Delivering business reviews, sales presentations, and commercial recommendations

  • Identifying new business opportunities and expanding market presence

  • Leading community engagement initiatives, events, and industry activations

  • Providing market insights and consumer trends to regional leadership teams

  • Collaborating with marketing, operations, and commercial teams to drive business outcomes

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing field team

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute sales leader with strong relationship-building capabilities and a passion for driving growth.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, account management, business development, or commercial management

  • Strong experience managing strategic retail or wholesale partnerships

  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth and market expansion

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams

  • Strong analytical and commercial decision-making capability

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Passion for retail, sport, lifestyle, or consumer-driven industries
