The Brand |
Stunning opportunity for ambitious Design Assistant passionate about prints, colour and fashion. This role will offer growth and development and an exciting opportunity to work across multiple luxury brands from concept to creation.
The Role |
Ensure the flow of design and production activities whilst participating in the garment development and sampling process and adhering to the critical path.
Assisting with tech packs including grading and preparing detailed CADs.
Maintain consistency in sizing, construction, quality and workmanship with the manufacturing team
Manage and maintain up-to-date information on strike offs, lab dips, fabrics and samples.
Collaborate with Creative Director and Design team to select fabrics, trims and accessories for new seasons.
Liaise with offshore manufacturing team to source prints, fabric and accessories and build strong relationships with suppliers.
Participate in fit sessions with Designer to ensure desired looks are achieved while meeting customer needs and passing internal quality and durability requirements.
Measuring samples and issuing fit comments to manufacturing team.
Prepare sample ranges for Photoshoots and Fashion Shows and assist when required.
Provide technical advice to internal teams to drive sales and help identify and resolve any fit issues
The Skillset |
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
A good understanding of tech packs and specs.
Good understanding of garment construction and technical knowledge including fabric, grading and patterns.
Sewing experience in apparel highly regarded.
Ability to multitask across brands whilst maintaining each brand’s identity.
Proficient experience in Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Tertiary education in fashion design, or equivalent.
