Dual-Site Back of House & Operations Manager

Australian Luxury Designer Label
Now Hiring in Melbourne

The Brand |

Our client is one of Australia's most respected luxury designer fashion houses, celebrated for its refined aesthetic, exceptional craftsmanship and beautifully considered collections.

With an established presence across Australia's premium retail landscape, the brand has cultivated a loyal clientele through its commitment to quality, timeless design and exceptional customer experiences.

An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Back of House & Operations Manager to oversee two of their key Melbourne CBD locations, their Emporium boutique and David Jones Bourke Street concession.

Offering a Monday to Friday roster, this is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Store Manager looking to transition away from traditional shop floor leadership, or an accomplished Stockroom Manager ready to take ownership of a broader operational portfolio.

The Role |

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the operational performance across two premium designer retail locations, ensuring everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly.

Working closely with the boutique leadership teams, you will play an integral role in creating an organised, efficient and commercially focused retail environment, allowing the teams to concentrate on delivering exceptional client experiences.

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves the operational side of retail — someone who thrives on structure, organisation, problem-solving and making things happen.

You will:

  • Oversee all back of house and stockroom operations across two Melbourne CBD locations.

  • Manage stock movements, deliveries, transfers and replenishment to ensure product is available when and where it is needed.

  • Maintain exceptional inventory accuracy and stockroom organisation.

  • Coordinate stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory investigations.

  • Implement and maintain efficient operational processes across both locations.

  • Partner closely with Boutique Managers to support commercial performance and daily operations.

  • Ensure stock presentation, storage and handling align with luxury brand standards.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, stock flow and operational productivity.

  • Support loss prevention, stock control and compliance procedures.

  • Manage operational administration, reporting and stock-related systems.

  • Build strong relationships with retail leadership, warehouse and wider support teams.

  • Provide hands-on operational support across both locations during key trading periods.

The Skillset |

This role would be perfectly suited to an experienced Store Manager who loves the operational side of retail and is looking for a change, or a strong Stockroom or Back of House Manager ready to step into a dual-site leadership position.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in retail operations, stockroom management or Store Management.

  • A background within premium fashion, luxury retail or a high-volume retail environment.

  • Strong inventory management and stock control experience.

  • Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and time management.

  • Confidence managing competing priorities across multiple locations.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving operational processes.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with stocktakes, deliveries, transfers and replenishment.

  • Confidence working with retail systems, reporting and operational administration.

  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach and genuine pride in creating an efficient retail environment.

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys taking ownership, creating structure and ensuring everything runs beautifully behind the scenes.

The Offer |

  • Monday to Friday roster — no weekends!

  • Oversee operations across two premium Melbourne CBD retail locations.

  • Work across the Emporium boutique and David Jones Bourke Street concession.

  • Join one of Australia's most respected designer fashion houses.

  • An incredible opportunity for a Store Manager looking for a career change without leaving the fashion industry.

  • Step away from traditional sales and shop floor leadership into a dedicated operational role.

  • Work closely with experienced boutique leadership and wider support teams.

  • Take genuine ownership of stock management, systems and operational efficiency.

  • Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities.

  • Generous employee product benefits and discounts.

  • Be part of a collaborative, professional and highly regarded Australian fashion business.
